Všimli jste si, že většina novorozenců v USA je zabalená do bílé deky s modrými a růžovými pruhy. Ptáte se proč? Vysvětlení je jednoduché. Porodnice nakupují již od 50. let minulého století tyto deky od firmy Medline ze státu Illionis. A tak se může stát, že v rodinném albu se sejdou fotky miminek tří generací ve stejné dece. A stranou nezůstávají ani děti celebrit.

V současnosti prodává firma Medline 1,5 milionů dek ročně. Průměrná cena deky je 2,50 dolarů. Nemyslete si, že je to nějaký domácí produkt. Deky se vyrábějí v pákistánském Karáčí a prodávají se po celém světě. Pokud byste po dece zatoužily i vy, zkuste Amazon. Prodávají 4 kusy za 10 dolarů.

The explanation is easy. Hospitals buy these flannel blankets since the 1950s from Medline, a company based in Illinois. So it may happen that in the family album there will be pictures of babies of three generations in the same blanket. And celebrities' babies are no exceptions.

Jak chutná dětem v luxusní restauraci?/Do kids like food in one of the best restaurants in NYC?

Jestli se vám líbilo video, kde děti ochutnávají snídaně svých vrstevníků z různých koutů světa, určitě se pobavíte i dnes. (Pokud jste snídaňové video ještě neviděli, napravte to! Podívat se na něj můžete tady.)

Tři holky a tři kluci, všichni ve věku 7-8 let, jsou pozvaní na oběd do francouzské restuarace Daniel v New Yorku, aby ochutnali 7-chodové menu v hodnotě 220 dolarů. Dětem jednotlivé chody představuje samotný majitel a šéfkuchař Daniel Boulud. Vítězným chodem samozřejmě kromě desertů je steak. Naopak těstoviny, o kterých si šéfkuchař myslel, že dětem budou chutnat nejvíce, byly propadák. 

Nebudu prozrazovat víc, podívejte se sami.

Three girls and three boys, all 7 to 8 years of age were invited for a lunch to French restaurant Daniel in NYC to try a 7-course, $220 tasting meal. Daniel Boulud, the owner and chef, introduced the courses to the kids. The kids' pick (except the desserts, of course) was the steak. On the contrary pasta, which the chef thought would be their favorite, was not liked it at all.

2. TRIMESTR – jak využít stávající šatník

Užíváte si nejlepší část těhotenství. Už vám není špatně, bříško roste a možná už cítíte pohyby miminka.

Co koupit: Nakupte si několik kousků základního těhotenského oblečení a ty kombinujte s tím, co již máte ve skříni. Nikdy nezapomínejte na svůj styl. Pokud dáváte přednost „za normálních okolností“ džínům a tričku, těžko se budete v těhotenství navlékat do šatů s květinovým vzorem. A naopak pokud nejste velký příznivec kalhot, pořiďte si těhotenské šaty a sukně. Máte-li v zaměstnání přísný dress code, budete potřebovat elegantní těhotenské oblečení. 2nd TRIMESTER – how to wear the clothes you already have 

You are enjoying the best part of your pregnancy. You are not sick anymore, your bump is growing and maybe you are already feeling your baby move. 

For this post I chose photos of actresses, singers and models as they look in everyday life without a crowd of stylists, makeup artists and fashion consultants. Pregnant girls like us!

What to buy: Buy a few pieces of basic maternity clothes and combine them with what you already have in your closet. Never forget your style. If you normally prefer wearing jeans and a T-shirt, you probably won't try to wear a dress with a floral pattern when pregnant. And on the contrary if you're not a big fan of pants, buy maternity dresses and skirts. If you have a strict dress code at work, you need business maternity clothes. What to watch out for: If you still don't have maternity trousers, it's time. 

Never, really never go out without a bra! 

What to wear: Even during pregnancy there is no reason to give up a leather jacket. You can combine it not only with the jeans but it perfectly fits a dress or a skirt. 

 

Do you like blazers? You can wear them when pregnant and you will stay stylish even with your growing belly.
